I love to exchange experiences with people from different cultural backgrounds to acquire an eclectic point of view on life. Besides that I love to read about the history of physics especially quantum mechanics.
We loved our private tour of Istanbul. Kaan was terrific and Genghis was so knowledgeable and informative. We really enjoyed seeing all the special places Istanbul has to offer. We would have liked more time in the Grand Bazaar and we never made it to the Spice Market. Lunch was great also. I'm not sure why we needed to stop at a carpet demonstration, it wasted time and was too much of a sales pitch. But all in all, thank both our guides for a wonderful experience.
This was not our first visit to Istanbul. We always enjoy wandering around the city and making all sorts of wonderful discoveries. Kaan was able to customize the route for us. We went to some of the monuments we enjoy best and Kaan knew the best times to queue up, and routes within the monuments and between them to maximize our time, and the best places to stop to eat/refresh. Much of the magic is in the city itself. But Kaan adds his own magic to the mix. He is bright, knowledgeable, gentlemanly and the perfect person to spend a great day in Istanbul with. It was almost like visiting with a friend. A truly wonderful way to spend our time in Istanbul.
My wife and I spent about 6 hours with our guide, Kaan, and we were very impressed with everything. The sites were marvelous (we went to Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, and we swung briefly through the Grand Bazaar) and Kaan gave us a ton of very insightful, informative, and entertaining contextual information. More than a tour, it was like walking around IST with a very well-informed friend. If you come to IST, do this tour with Kaan on one of your first days and you will have an excellent introduction to an amazing city. Thanks, Kaan!
My husband and I hired Kaan to give us the old city tour of the most famous sites. We had no idea what was in store for us when he picked us up at our condo in his lovely car. From the moment we met him our day unfolded into one of the most memorable days of our stay in Istanbul. In such a warm and charming way, Kaan starting giving us a history of our neighbourhood and of the different parts of Istanbul and explained the rich history of empires and described the incredible Turkish culture. He was extremely professional, personable, knowledgeable, articulate and engaging. We cannot wait to return to the wonderful city of Istanbul! We especially cannot wait to spend another day with the most charismatic guide of Istanbul!
Kaan took my wife and me on a wonderful informative tour of major sights in Sultanhamet, The Blue Mosque, the Cistern, and the Topkapi Palace, as well as a quick dip into the Grand Bazaar--not a place for an agoraphobe like me to stay very long. Kaan picked us up dropped us off at our flat in Kurucesme, and even the drive down to the historic district was full of interesting observations about what we were passing. At our main destinations, we had leisurely times with interesting comments at every turn. Kaan is an open minded and intelligent guide whose English is good, and he is a warm, enjoyable man to talk with. He took us for lunch to a wonderful authentic and inexpensive Turkish restaurant we would never have found on our own. We wished we could have spent more time with him, but he oriented us well for a couple of return trips on our own to other sights in the area. VEry worthwhile tour.
We were the lucky recipients of Kaan's very first professional tour of Istanbul. He was kind, flexible and incredibly knowledgeable about all the places on our tour and Istanbul in general. He went above and beyond our expectations, explained all the incredible sights and happily suggested a great local restaurant. It was also our very first Vayable tour and I can't say enough how smoothly everything went. I'd highly recommend Kaan and this tour!
