Head coach and trainer Joe Ward has a healthy and infectious obsession with fitness – running in particular. His successes in trail running, marathons (he’s run 21 official marathons), long-distance runs (including several 100km races, two 100 mile races GNW 250km run and 240km C2K) plus his experience as an athlete in several sports – rugby, soccer, Muay Thai kickboxing and boxing – means his athletic achievements give him broad expertise in addition to a varied approach to training.
He always trains outdoors and his clients are used to getting wet feet. ‘People get a great feeling from training at the beach – there’s a calming influence from being in touch with nature and it’s a gorgeous place to be’, says Joe.
Joe is from the UK but his trainer-clad feet are now firmly in Manly and the Northern Beaches.
