Julie planned a great travel itinerary for my 7 day trip to Portugal. She was very friendly, helpful and professional. She asked, and more importantly listened to what I was looking for - what I liked and what I disliked. She provided me with a very detailed plan, a choice of hotels and things to do in the area that fitted in with what I was looking in for. She provided information about restaurants and interesting eating places/bars which were recommended either their quality of food or other quirky quality which made them worth a visit. Some of them were places I wouldn't normally have considered but she said they were particularly interesting and worth a visit and she wasn't wrong. Julie's extensive knowledge of Portugal, personal travel within the country and her contacts with others all over the country make her uniquely qualified and able to produce such great personal itineraries. I feel I got so much more from my holiday than I would have got just from guide books or web pages of the area. Would definitely use again.
I can highly recommend Julie - she has a fantastic knowledge of Portugal built up over many years of actually living in Portugal. She has a genuine love of this beautiful country and its people and is a naturally inquisitive and enquiring person who likes to find out what lies beneath the surface of a region or place - which makes her the perfect person to create an itinerary for you. Her blog 'Julie Dawn Fox' perfectly demonstrates her knowledge and awareness of Portugal, and she has introduced me to so many new places to visit, local events and the type of experiences which you would not normally find out about unless you were a 'local'. I have always found Julie to be a genuinely honest, trustworthy and dependable person. Her work is always of the highest quality, with a great attention to detail. Her knowledge is both wide-ranging and also well-informed, and she is able to direct you to both the major landmarks and tourist attractions alongside the tiny markets, festivals and hidden villages that make up the 'real' Portugal. I can enthusiastically recommend Julie without reservation.
Julie organised a great little trip to the Alentejo which centred on the Redondo paper flower festival - a misnomer as this was paper art as you've rarely seen. Comfortable but quirky hotel included in the planning which really added to the experience. Certainly I'd use Julie again and wholly recommend her services to anyone needing help in planning a trip to Portugal particularly if you want to see more than the Lisbon hotspots.
