Born and bred in Brooklyn, New York, Tom has written several articles about the city that have appeared in local publications. He has also published two novels set in NYC. He is a licensed NYC Sightseeing Guide and dedicated traveller who has visited many of America's cities, National Parks, and European capitals. Few things please him more than packing a light bag and taking a trip. High on his wish-list is hiking in Nepal.
Regarding Tom's advice to NYC's visitors - and even natives - is that once you've seen the major sites, get off the beaten track and explore the nooks and crannies of the five boroughs. There are little known and fascinating points of interest everywhere.
