I love Oahu and all of the Hawaiian Islands. I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in Anthropology and I've traveled to more than fifty countries as a travel writer, guide, anthropologist and blogger. I'm originally from Big Bear Lake, CA but I have called Oahu home for nearly twenty years. I am a lifelong learner and a huge fan of technology, finance, cryptocurrency, history, culture, and languages. There is not much I love more than sharing this island with new friends - but I'm a proud papa of a Model:2011 daughter and there is nothing which compares with being that. I look forward to becoming friends with you and sharing the many secrets of this place that I love.

Had a fantastic time with Vago. We caught a lot of crab and had fabulous conversation! A truly fun day. If you are in the area this tour is a must! Thanks Vago!!!!!!

My boyfriend and I had a really awesome time crabbing with Vago! Vago was extremely fun and friendly, and he really made our trip worthwhile. We have never gone crabbing before, so Vago provided us with all the basic techniques as well as insider tips on how to optimize our catch. Once we set up all of our traps, Vago took us to a hidden beach, which was absolutely gorgeous. When we got back, we pulled in a ton of crab - way more than others on the docks that day. As with fishing, some days you pull in dozens of keepers, other days you pull in none. We happened to have no crabs that were within legal limits that day, but Vago had a Plan B and Plan C already laid out for us. We went with Plan B (you'll have to find out what this is), and ended up enjoying a delicious crab boil as we shared travel stories. We topped off our trip with a visit to a local brewery. We highly recommend this trip if you want an insider experience of the Oregon Coast. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. Make sure you bring your sunscreen, or you'll end up looking like the catch of the day ;-)
