Sam was super interesting from history to anecdotes, he has accumulated so much knowledge during his 7 years in Iceland. Both about Reykjavik and the Icelandic society, He is a goldmine of information. He adapted the walking tour to our interests and mixed it a bit with his coffee tour so that we would stop occasionally at his favorite coffee places. Definitely recommended as soon as you arrive in Reykjavik.

I took the MET tour with Taso, he is not one of "those" guides that go with a script and move on. Taso has genuine interest in all the antiques and deep knowledge about each piece. I felt like i would have to sleep and live in the museum to know as much as he does in a lifetime. He is so enthusiastic about what he chose to comment about, as an average museum goer, this was the perfect tour for me. I learned a lot and enjoyed every bit of it. As it goes he will also put together more thematic tours, i think it's a great idea as a follow-up!

I am one of these "if it's not on the island it's no good" - wait! i took my passport and the 7 train all the way to flushing. I looked for the last signs written in English, only to find Joe's Mets' Cap. Joe is so cool, he even speaks some Chinese (or cantonese) and knows about the foods around him. He also knew the owners of the tofu shop (sometimes i hesitate to take pictures of maybe underground businesses). When Joe get's there it's like a party, they are happy to see him, as a group he purchases a few items based on what you might or might not like and the shops are so happy to see us trying weird foods. Then what - Joe takes us to a supermarket!!! I was in confidence there was something special going on there... and yes we saw the karate rice cake makers... where else? Joe - thanks for this amazing experience! Sam

I went with Carolyn to check the tour this past Sunday and you are not visiting Harlem with another tour guide. Carolyn has lived Harlem through good and bad times, she was born and raised there, the street vendors are her friends and through the tour you understand she is Harlem - in addition, I had to run in the middle of the tour (before the Gospel) and i was so disappointed, she kindly offered me to come and join a group at another time which i will definitely do. Check it, I went through less than half the tour and it is already worth it!
