Explore the Cambodian countryside on a half-day or full-day tour with acclaimed professional photographer Peter Oxley. Join me on a personalized journey of discovery to the Cambodian countryside as we visit ancient temples, rice fields, pagodas and markets. Step back in time and experience traditional village life just as it has been for hundreds of years. Meet villagers and rice planters and farmers and fisherfolk and capture them as your very own memories of an unforgettable experience.
Half-day tours start at 7:30am and 3pm and take about 4 hours. Tours include hotel pick-up, refreshments along the way and lunch or dinner with the photographer. It also includes a mini-PDF of my book on rural Cambodia entitled "Days of Light - Images of a Changing Cambodia". We visit various venues along the way, that will include taking portraits of local people, landscapes and rich, vivid sunsets. The full-day tour comprises a trip to the famed and fabled 12th Century Angkorian temple Beng Melea and a trip on a boat through a floating village and out onto the vast inland lake, the biggest in Asia, the Tonle Sap.
All-inclusive half-day tours are suitable for 1-4 persons of all photographic capabilities. We travel by tuktuk and on foot, so please bring sturdy footwear. The full-day tour costs $220 for a solo traveler and we travel by car or minivan. Discounts are available of 20, 30, 40% for 2/3/4 persons.
