If you're an artist or writer, there's no place as magical and mythologized as Paris' Left Bank. Ernest Hemmingway, William Burroughs, James Joyce. Pablo Picasso, Man Ray, Salvador Dali - it's almost quicker to list the 20th century greats that haven't rhapsodized in words and images about this bohemian heartland. While New Zealander Jenny is well-versed on the Left Bank's artistic pedigree, she's got her priorities straight. She'll introduce you to the real artists and poets, the best pastry chefs and chocolatiers on this side of the Seine. Bring your sweet tooth.

ATTENTION: I am home in New Zealand for the southern hemisphere summer so I'm sorry I am no longer available for tours! Have a fantastic time in Paris.

Discover the gourmet delights of the Rive Gauche while working off all that beurre on a mini walking tour around the intellectual heart of Paris.

The St Germain des Prés area is spoilt with spectacular pâtisseries and boulangeries, ranging from the traditional to the avant garde.

What's more, as an expat New Zealander living in the area, I know where to find that latté you have been longing for!

Spend two hours discovering:

• A selection of Paris’ most decadent and esteemed pâtissiers and chocolatiers;
• two of the most famous artisan boulangers worldwide; and
• a stop for great coffee or hot chocolate

The tour includes a sampling of macaron from several of Paris' rivalling competitors (other food and drink is not included).

As a Paris resident, I was looking for a tour that would be informative and original. I often walked pass boulangeries and macaroon shop and never really take an interest in their historical value. I won't look at them in the same way after this tour. It is a perfect blend of historical anecdotes about St Germain and delicious stops to taste the very best of French patisserie. Don't miss it!

My sister booked us a tour with Jenny, she didn't notice that she wrongly selected the date (a week before the planned date). She only found out when Jenny informed my sister that we did not show up that day. Jenny was very kind and accommodating to reschedule our tour with no additional cost. So, Jenny, thanks for that. And thank you for the wonderful time we had on your tour... glad we didn't miss a second chance. :)

Can highly recommend. Jenny is a friendly kiwi guide who knows her French sweets, was a lot of fun.

As an American living in Paris for the last 3 years, I'd thought I'd just about exhausted all of the sights... but sometimes you can find the best things right under your nose! I took the tour with some friends and it was a fantastic way to explore the Left Bank, loaded with interesting facts about the history of the area in general and, of course, the patisseries. And best of all, you won't leave hungry! Highly recommended.
