I am Rosa, a cheerful Hong Kong girl who loves to meet new people and places! Growing up in Sham Shui Po for more than 20 years, I would love to show you the most authentic and historical side of Hong Kong!
Why Sham Shui Po so special?
Growing up in Sham Shui Po for more than 20 years, I would love to show you the most authentic, chaotic and historical side of Hong Kong! Sham Shui Po is the earliest developed areas in Hong Kong. It is now becoming an old district area. Its urban decay problem is the most serious in Hong Kong. You won't see skyscrapers or grand malls- but shabby tenement buildings with distinctive neon signs.
Things we will do:
1. We will begin with taking a stroll along “Apliu Street”, a street which is full of stalls selling old electric appliance, CDs, radio or other antique. Also, there will be flea markets selling second-hand clothes, accessories, crockery or decos....etc. You will meet lots of local hawkers here and feel the vibes of old Hong Kong!
2. After that, we will enjoy a light meal at a local restaurant (Cha Chaan Teng). Of course, you will try the local drink- milk tea coming with Hong Kong style French toast! (or any other local food you’d love to try)
3. At the end, we will reach “Gordon Hill" (You won't probably find this spot in travel guide! ), a secret small hill where you will be able to overlook the whole Sham Shui Po and even the whole western Kowloon from above. Feel the breeze and enjoy the spectacular evening scenes!
