The Maasai Mara National Reserve (also spelled Masai Mara; known by the locals as The Mara) is a large game reserve in Narok County, Kenya, contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Mara Region, Tanzania. It is named in honor of the Maasai people (the ancestral inhabitants of the area) and their description of the area when looked at from afar: “Mara”, which is Maa (Maasai
language) for “spotted,” an apt description for the circles of trees, scrub, savanna, and cloud shadows that mark the area.
You arrive at the Masai Mara for lunch after an impressive drive, past the northern flank of the extinct volcanoes of Suswa and Logonot. followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight accommodation is at a tented camp.
A full day game drive in Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). All meals and overnight accommodation is at a tented camp.
After a final game drive in the morning and the breakfast you return to Nairobi and dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or Airport.
