Start your tour with a caffeine hit from the 32nd floor of the Shard. Enjoy the panoramic views across London while we map out your adventure.
Wander through the Borough Market where you will be able to sample the best of British cheeses, breads and continental charcuterie.
A quick tube ride away will bring you to Brixton, a melting pot of different cultures and authentic food. This is real London - street food, shared tables and everything from Oriental to Indian, Caribbean to Italian. Watch handmade dumplings being rolled while enjoying Beijing street food, made by grandma before your eyes. Walk through the Brixton arcades where street sellers tout everything from fresh fish to catchy gospel tunes! Buy an urban mixed tape, fresh plantains or watch the hairdressers expertly apply weaves to their patrons. Indulge in delicious Neapoli style sourdough pizza, soured for a minimum of 20 hours and garnished with handmade mozzarella made daily in Somerset. Sample a classic Thai Larb or 'meat salad' which is ground pork or chicken, mixed with roasted rice, fresh herbs, chilli and lime. Alternatively, be a little more daring and try an Eritrean 'injura' - a huge sour pancake onto which curries are spooned, leaving everyone to tear bits off.
This is not a tour for the light hearted, this is the true colours, sights and flavours of cosmopolitan London!
London Foodie Tours was inspired by its chief guide Naomi’s last trip to Vietnam, where yet again, she experienced the first hand frustrations of following guide book and internet recommendations, only to find they weren’t up to standard or didn’t exist or didn’t open on the day she chose to arrive. Having cultivated a 10 year long obsession with the London foodie scene, particpated in Masterchef, hosted a supper club and created a Pick Your Own Dinner event, it seemed like high time that she share some of the London gems she knows and loves with others. London’s foodie scene is world class, the perfect combination of cosmopolitan cuisines and experimental entrepreneurs willing to launch new food ideas. I plan on jam packing your 3-4 hour tours with enough foodie sensations to make you need a lie-down! Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
