Lido is the beach of Venice. Lido’s golden sanded beaches are a great hideaway for Venetians seeking a bit of time out to enjoy the sun and sea while staying close to home. Venice Lido is the quiet, peaceful and green thin island that stretches between open sea and lagoon, which is only 10 minutes away from S. Mark's square, both by public or private transportation.
The meeting is at Santa Maria Elisabetta waterbus stop in the Island of Lido-Venice. The cycle ride starts from the centre of Lido, along the lagoon side, Riviera San Nicolò, where we can have our first break in front of the tiny black iron gate of the ancient Jewish cemetery. The next stopover is planned nearby the architectural Benedictine complex of San Nicolò.
Then, we will leave the lagoon side to reach the sea through the promenade Lungomare d’Annunzio which at a certain point becomes Lungomare Marconi, and where we come across to great hotels as Hotel Des Bains and, a bit further, Hotel Excelsior. Between them there is the Cinema Palace, venue of the famous Venice International Film Festival.
The bike tour continues to the cycling lane of Murazzi, a fortress of Istrian stone made to defend the coast and the lagoon from sea storms, until the locality of Malamocco. Along Murazzi, the coast, which is characterised by the presence of dunes, offers interesting naturalistic landscapes and an ideal habitat for various species of sea birds.
From Malamocco, we will finally come back to Lido center and have a taste of the typical Venetian “cicchetti” and wine.

• The experience price includes bikes rent and local finger-food tasting (some “cicchetti” and a glass of wine per person).
• The bike’s itinerary can be adapted to personal preferences when booking.
• The tour is suitable for all, beginners to experts.
