From the Piramide Cestia to the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, the Ostiense neighborhood - with its large abandoned industrial structures (Mercati Generali, Gasometro etc...) - is now one of the most popular areas for the roman underground culture.
The whole neighborhood is home to some of the most beautiful works of street art by italian and international artists, such as Lex & Sten, Herbert Baglione, Blu, Ozmo, Agostino Iacurci, JB Rock and more! And it's not unusual to find traces of illegal street art too, with posters, stencil, stickers, that sometimes are small but meaningful masterpieces.
Before the tour ends, we can make a stop to eat gelato in one of the coolest gelaterias in the city: La Romana. You'll be amazed by the attention to details these people put in your "cono gelato", and the amount of unique flavours you can get.
